Liberia is the oldest country in West Africa, bordering Sierra Leone, Guinea and Côte d'Ivoire. On the south is the Atlantic Ocean. The capital city is Monrovia. The Flag of Liberia was made by seven noble ladies: Susannah Lewis, Matilda Newport, Rachel Johnson, Mary Hunter, J.B. Russwurm, Conilette Teage, and Sara Dripper; on August 24. It was publically displayed during the Declaration of Independence in 1847. These seven women were born in America. The current President of Liberia is H.E. Joseph Boakai.
